Winter Wonderland by Misted-Dream Winter Wonderland by Misted-Dream
Here's the other drawing I made that I actually just finished last night. Again, like the whitetail, I hope to turn this one into a painting as well. Someone gave me their 8 tube set of Golden Acrylics and I've never used nice acrylics before, so I think it's going to be fun. :) I also happened to be inspired to create a snow piece because when I started this one we were having a snowstorm. ;)

Ballpoint pen on sketchbook paper, 9" X 12". Around 12 hours or so. No refs.

Wow, that's amazing that you were able to draw something like this without any reference. I'd also never thought it was done with a ballpoint pen. Well done!

Wow, this is absolutely stunning! I love the atmosphere, it is so wintery! (I live in a desert, I appreciate snow very very much XD) It looks like a scene right out of a book! Fabulous job. And have fun with those acrylics, I started acrylics a little while ago, they are awesome!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I do love snow myself, though when it's time for Spring, I appreciate the warm weather. ;) And yes, I will! I just need the time, lol.

Thank you! It was just a matter of leaving that area white and then shading really lightly around it. :)

Haha, thanks! It's kind of funny because when I first started making whole ballpoint pen drawings (like, 7th grade) I did it because it wouldn't smudge in my sketchbook like pencil would. :XD: I still kind of do it for that reason, but they've become more intentional now. ;)

ballpoint pen?! *dies*

theres just so much detail, whenever i doodle with a pen in class, the ink clumps up and just ruins everything/

Yup. :aww:

You can kind of see where there are ink splats here and there, but I've tried just occasionally using a kleenex to clean off the tip, and that seems to help. :)
