Copper Light

Of all the paintings I made, this was probably the one I liked the most. It was kind of a disappointing semester to me because I guess I expected a higher quality of work from myself than I produced. But anyway, this is a Canvasback drake and I decided to try painting a duck in oils for a change (and as practice for the duck stamp contest). You can't paint this duck for this year's competition, but I was mainly focused on the water and composition in general, not the species (I just happen to really like Canvasbacks). This was also my "final" piece (even though I didn't paint it last) and the one my professor liked the most.
